Adding alternator to Farmall A

My A has been converted to 12v - no generator was added though. How do I add an aternator ?
In detail please as I am a classic newbie !!!

On my BA when I built it I did the alternator thing from the get go. The BA is half B and half A. Simple 3 wire Chev alternator from say a 1980 Chev pick up on power no AC or any thing fancy. Cost is around $50 give or take. Simple to wire you. Wire from the big post #10 gauge goes to the amp gauge. The plug has 2 wires the #2 in the plug goes to the post and the #1 goes to the ignition switch same side as the coil wire. You do nee a diode in that wire

Mark, I sent you an e-mail about a kit that I have put together. The kit includes Delco alternator, mounting bracket, tightener bracket, diode wire and resistor for ignition coil. Also comes with instructions. Charlie
