100 wont start when hot

when I mow with belly mower my 100 gets hot it starts to skip under load. if I cut it off it will not start till its cooled off. is coil bad?

More than likely the coil. If the coil is to hot to touch that is the issue. Check the spark with a extra spark plug when it won't start. Ground the body and watch while it is cranked. Be careful to put it in Neutral. Jim

Bad coil will cause a lot of things. A miss or a surge or one to die etc. Thing to do is when it happens pull the coil wire from the distributor cap and check spark. Do not wait so much as 5 minutes to do so. The spark should be a blue/white and jump a 1/4 inch gap or more
