464 IH pto engages put the lever does not go all the way forward to stay there.
I have to hold in place with a piece of wood, I can see where the shaft goes under the seat, and where the fork will lift the to engage the pto.
What do I take apart to make the shaft engage all the way?

Hi, common problem on 74 series tractors, especially if they are not kept undercover. The moisture gets in the lever actuating mechanism.
Use your favorite penetrating oil and lube everything while moving the pto lever back and forth. Also there is a rubber boot on top of the MCV valve that you may have to lift and spray oil on the pto actuating valve.

All the above only applies if no one has attempted to adjust the pto lever or there is no obstruction has fallen down in behind the seat or the sheet metal on the right side has not been bent.

Thanks much, I will go give it a shot of PB Blaster, no obstruction, did not work right after winter, so this is probably the cause
