Cultivator Peice?? What is it??

I picked this peice up recently with some other cultivating stuff for a Super A and Cub Tractor. What is this peice, and what does it fit?? You can clearly see the IH part number in the photos along with the "IH" stamp to the left, and a circle with a "+" in it, to the right.

Never have seen a peice like this and would like to know more about it. In the meantime, I will try looking up the number in the CASE/IH parts site. THANKS!

It is the part of a cultivator that has the gague wheel and
shank. The shank fits into the square hole and the gague
wheel is held on with a bracket that uses the two holes up front.
Go to the caseih website and look up cultivators in the parts
book section.

That is how I just looked it up. From what I saw, it fits a 4 row to 6 row cultivator. What tractor would this fit on though. Does anyone happen to have a picture of this same bar/clamp setup?? The part number I have is really for the clamp only, and is making the search a little more difficult. THANKS GUYS>

Its a 'tool holder'.Pretty common on older IH
cultivators.May even fit your cultivator.Keep it.Do
NOT throw it away!!

Oh, I not going to throw it away...don't worry.

I just can't imagine how it would be used and hooked up on a cultivator. I only work on and garden with the 1 row Cub, Super A, 100, 130, and 140 tractors. If I new HOW it hooked up and WHAT it fit, then I'd be happy.

It fits a 455 IH front mount cultivator for one example, very common in the late 50/early 60 in midwest for M/450/560.
