Let me rephrase that--FASTHITCH not Quickhitch

I was thinking one term, put typed another. I was asking a question about a fasthitch check valve, and called it a quickhitch check valve. Either way I was asking where the O ring goes, as the one I bought to install didn't have one, and the parts book and service manual show one.

Don't worry, the rest of us knew what you meant. Some people are just don't have a sense of humor...

If you do not see a place to put the Oring, the sealing surface must be somewhere else, or with a gasket. Some of the check valves were attached to the valves (IIRC) and some were in line. A picture would help. If this is all already history Bye Bye. Jim

Oring goes on the piston. Main things to check is if the ball is smooth and round and the seat for the ball is good. Also see if the piston slides smooth in the bore before the sealing ring is put on it.

It has nothing to do ith a sense of humor. If I did a search for Fast Hitch Let down I would not find "Quick Hitch Let Down" even if we all know what the OP meant by the thread.

Things have names for a reason, why don't we use them?

believe it or not I found a NOS piston to put in the unit. It even came in the original box. The old one was not all gaulded or gouged but the end that actuates the ball was hammered some. The ball was still smooth.
