Ok men I have 1941 Farmall A, while I was taking apart the rear work light I found this material. It has what appears to be a wire running through it. My question is what is it and is the wire used as a ground since it connects to the copper strip inside the light. What material can replace or where do you buy a new you?

Looks like the remains of a headlight gasket to me.

Definitely not a ground, if I remember there's a wire from the reflecter to the shell for the ground.
