Just got back from the tractor parade at the Nebraska State Fair. Even with the rain and all the mud, it was a blast. I can't believe they got all those tractors sorted out and it went without a hitch. We went around a 3/8 mile horse track for the parade. They lined us up nose to tail, 6 tractors wide. The line went all around the track. They said we only had to do 2 laps, but everyone was having fun, so we ended up doing 4 or 5. Some stayed and did more. Some fun facts not to bore anyone. They had 1,139 people sign up. I would say over 1/2 were from Nebraska. There were tractors there from Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, New Jersey, Oregon and California to name a few. They only needed to break the record of 745. They had 37 acres to park the trucks and trailers and it was full. The only problem was the mud, but they let you take as much of it home as you wanted! I got to bring home about two 5 gallon buckets full. It was sticky stuff! Mr. Cowman, I had mud in my eyes, but I swear I saw a WD9 with a TA? I am in the last picture, right under the Rural sign looking at the camera. We are deciding how to keep the 3 green tractors behind us! Enjoy the pictures.
