OK guys...

Wow great is this... so yesterday I took my 560 out in public for the 1st time :) Yes little nervous having all those people around tractor, but everyone was great. Was surprised with people's reactions toward the tractor.

So drove up to Princeton IL, to the Bureau County Fair... one that we used to pull at back in the day. Still have lots of family & friends up there, it was REALLY nice. Lots of people commented about the tractor, I think they thought it would not run as well as it did :) you know, "show tractor"

Think we could have done few more little things... added little more air pressure, ran some race fuel, etc etc Most of those other guys were doing that :) Our 560 ran SO good :)

So let's talk about the pull... guys tractor was AMAZING! Classes did not work 100% for us, they had 6K & 8K vintage classes. No big deal, as we weighed in at 7150lbs. No way we are going to adj weights, lol. So we ran expedition in 6K and also ran 8K class.

Pulled over 300', it was EPIC and tractor worked GREAT!

I must admit hearing that tractor pull SO well, applause from the fans was nice... good thing i had my sun glasses on, my eyes were tearful after that's for sure dad would have been proud.

What to thank Scott for pictures & Pete for video.

Here's video

I've been watching your progress, and you done good, my man!!

I loved the video...that pretty sound took me back to the days in 1959 when I was running a brand new '460'. I had always been a JD man until then, but I fell in love with that '460'.

Be proud of your accomplishment, young feller!!

Thx Stan.... I must admit, opening it up WOT really felt great.

think Im going to take all my photos and lessons learned about my project and make website to help people with other tractor projects.

Great pics. Your DAD would be proud. Now to hijack your thread, what was the moisture and yield on that corn???

Yep. Ya needed 10 more pounds in the tire as you had them rinkled bad at the end . Back when i was still pulling the S/MTA i ran 16-18 depending on the track . As far as racing gas in a 560 yea it will run but your not going to get any real advantage over just plain 93 with out having 10to 1 compression . You did well on that tractor . One thing i learned early was the first scratch is the worst .

Yeah, what Vet said. No more power is made from av gas/race gas than from pump gas. Just because everybody does it doesn't mean they are right...

Yeah, too low of air. I wouldn't add 10 lbs like Vet said, but I would think about 5 for sure. You said in your other post you dropped them 4 lbs so you were around 8-10?

Now wait just a sec here....where are the poo spreader pics????

You did a fantastic job on your 560! Realy gald to see it done!

Just ain't much into pulling but glad you had fun!

Congrats on a job well done!

Rick

Thanks Rick... it was great to run it :)

Even the little one at the Lyon County fair in Emporia KS would draw a couple hundred people. Then they cancelled it for lack of interested.

Vintage pull in afternoon had small crowd... Maybe 100, but night show was a real croud. Illinois State Pullers did main show, 2 sleds, 4x4 trucks, etc etc

Not here. The Walworth County Fair has about the biggest crowd at around 100. I would guess most of those are related to someone pulling.

As for our club pulls we would be lucky to get 20 spectators.
