Just curious, how do you guys cool your tractors down before shutting them off. I like to idle them about 1/4 throttle or so for a few minutes while I am blowing them off. Do you guys idle them all the way down or a little above idle or something else?

Pretty much the same as what others have said. I let mine idle for atleast a good 5 mins after working before I shut them down. No problems yet.

Yes, after working hard, just above idle for 5-10 mins is normal practice for me. I also believe in a good amount of warm up time before they are put to work.

between 8 and 900 rpm. dont want to leave them chugging at a complete idle, as the oil pressure is the lowest at idle and it is not even recomended to idle a diesel at a slow idle. and it cools faster also just off idle.

Just let the diesels run at idle for a bit 2-3 minutes depending on wether or not it was pulling hard or running up from the field.
