My 50 Cub has a headlight issue. They all work front and rear also high and low,but the low"s are dim and the highbeam is more like a low but the rear works good.If i grab either front light when it"s on it seems to brighten up some.I tryed sanding the ground on the inside for a better contact.Could it be the place they are mounted to??it must be a bad ground??any ideas?

could very well be the place they are mounted to.
They need a real good ground to operate properly.
Your description tells the story of a bad/inadequate ground. Clean everything that has potential ground. Should clear your problem.
