Plowing with my 560D

I plan ondoing some plowing with my 560D and 4-14 fasthitch plow tomorrow. Its been a long time since I did any plowing other than gardens and I have not used this plow before. Any tips, pointers that I could use would be appriciated.
The ground that I am plowing is a loam with some rocks, nothing big, my dad got rid of those many years ago.
I put the plow on the tractor today. I still have to move the right rear tire in on the axle. Otherwise I am about ready to turn over some dirt.

I don't know where you are from but if you are in a region that freezes and thaws every year your rock picking days are not finished. Freezing and thawing brings more rocks up every year.

It takes a few years for the rocks to surface but they will someday.

Be prepared to hit one.

I have same set up but it is a 4 16". If the wheels are slide all the way in you actually have to slide the right one out some so it follows the furrow. If the fast hitch is working correctly just have to set depth and raise the tail wheel if it is hydraulic. The sockets on the fast hitch have to pivoit so there is a pin or bolt that needs to be removed

When I started farming in the early 70's I had a 560 D and pulled 4 x16 412 plow. Make sure the shares aren't worn out. have fun

I was reading this article about plowing with a 560. I plan on doing this plowing also this fall. But I forgot, or do not know about a pin removal on the fasthitch. Could someone please inform me as to where this pin is? Thank you

The plow has to swing freely from side to side to run a direct mount plow with the two point hitch(especially if the furrow is curved). There are two stabilizer pins that have to be pulled and moved to storage slots to allow the movement. I am not sure about the 560 set up having run other models, but it has to be done. You also remove the pins to operate a colter guided cultivator frame. Check with your operators manual.
