What's the vlaue of a factory widefront that is in good condition? Bad condition? If there were any aftermarket or homemade widefronts for a F-20 what they be valued at? I just want to know the values so in case I ever find one at an auction. It would be pretty neat to put one on my F-20. Does anybody have pictures of their wide fronts that they would share? Thanks for any help!

An original F20 wf may be worth as much as $5000,you will also need the speacial pedestal. There are several adaptations and some homemade ones.I f you really want a wf,you better just buy it,they are too rare and scarce to pass up.

Evan, Delta Red is correct with out the pedistal any wide front would be home made. And no they are not worth much. I had seen a correct pedistal and wide fornt on a pallet for sale on Ebay about year or more ago sold for 2500.00
Very rough correct wide front on complete F-20
Sold for 3850.00 in New Jersey last year.
I was not awhere of this fact! But most of the existing wide fronts F-12 F-14 F-20 are in New Jersey and on eastern Long Island. Most potato farms still have them in the back of there barn.
I have seen more wide fronts in the last two years Than I even knew existed. I have also run across quit a few F-12 waukasha, seems alot of them were sold on long Island. oldiron29

The real early h wide fronts are the same axle. The bolster and attachment brackets are different. Heres a pic of mine.

There are two diffrent wide fronts for F20's. The early front end is a straight non-ajustable axel used on narrow treads. The axel beam itself is the same as used on a W30 I think. The later ones used the same ajustable front axel as ealy H & M tractors. The early axels are worth 5000 to 5500. I live in northern NY and I run acrossed quite a few F12 and F14 tractors with wide fronts up here but very few F20's.

If you type F20N in the search in the tractor photo section, my tractor is there. Maybe sombody knows how to get the image over here.

Eric, H and M WF had 2 eyelets on them that is where the struts would mount. F-20 did not have the eyelets. On you F-20 NT Are you sure the wide front was not home made? What does your serial # say? I would like to see more picture of yours. Can you post some of the front axle.

There were actually three axles made for the f20. Two of which were straight axles, one was for a high crop, and the third was the adjustable like mine is. On the straight axles the struts go through the center of the axle, on the adjustable there is the two eyelets on the bottom of the axle.

Dana, the axle had 2 holes for the wish bone not struts. The struts went from the pivet yoke to the frame. F-20 did not have this! oldiron29

My front is not home made its in the parts book. It has coil springs on it to cushion the axel pivot.

U are correct i was calling it the wrong thing. The struts and wishbone mount to the same holes on the axle on the adjustable one. My 20 is also a 39. I have added the widefront and narrow rearend so my serial number does not reflect that.

you are very correct about the tractors coming to the potato country here in NJ and long island. Btw the complete rough f-20 was mine. and i totally agree on the wide front and f 12 14 and early flathead f-12"s I have had over 25 wide front 12 and 10 early f-12"s all from potato farmers. and yes belive me they are still around..
