I know I have read it somewhere, but does anyone know what month the Farmall Works started new production each year?
Was it January 1st or like automobile factories in August ?

I understood that the new model year started on Nov. 1st. And Qc501 wasn't built at Farmall works. It was built at tractor works in Chicago.

I am considering purchasing an F20 s/n FA35557, it's red now & I wanted it gray, looks like it was made around a month or so after the 1936 production started at FA32716.

If they started 1936 production in November and averaging 125 tractors a day that means it should of come off the line around the last days of December or early January.

I have read they started painting F20's red after November 1st 1936, but this tractor has the early style round top steering gear, opposed to the more hexagon 1937 -38-39 style steering gear.
