Gentlemen,
I have a 1955 Farmall 200 and I would like to increase the rpms a touch. How does one go about doing this chore? Currently, I have about 1450 or so and am shooting for 1800 or maybe 2K rpms. Ideas?
Tks in advance,
dg

It should be turning 1800 normally. You've got a problem.

Look at your throttle lever and make sure it isn't catching on the mounting bolts at the bottom. That limits the throttle lever travel.

There is a bolt that goes straight down into the top of the governor. That is the top RPM adjustment. Someone may have turned that in too far. Try loosening it.
