300 u manual steering

I have a 300 u with manual steering. It will turn to the left real easy but turning it to the right is alot harder, didn't know what i should check or if there is something i can loosen up to make it turn easier.

make sure that the gearbox has plenty of oil. and that the king pins are greased well.

jack up the front end and try turning to see if right turn is tight.

There is a cam groove (worm) in the box with a pin that travels in the groove. if it is wearing on one contact point, and not the other the feel will be way different.
When greasing the spindles, lift the axle to assure the grease gets into the thrust bearing at the bottom.
Does it do the opposite when backing up? Jim
