I couldnt get the head bolts out on the water jacket side so im leaving that up to the machine shop....my question is should I or could I put some never seize on the threads in the case I ever have to get them out again?

I spend more time cleaning treads and applying oil, grease, and or never seize than anything else I do. It is my belief if you put something together with stuck threads you have not done a very good "restoration"

Some of those studs above the coolant cover go through into the coolant. Thats what makes them harder to get out than the others most times. I use thread sealent on those. If you notice the studs are not threaded a full thread length in the block originaly. Sometimes if you get carried away with a thread tap in the block holes and the original studs are used and go in a full thread to tighten. Some studs may end up short on having a full thread for the nut on top.
