Super A with roto tiller

I'm sure that a roto tiller could be adapted to fit, but I've never seen it done.

The problem I see is that a Super A engine running at PTO speed will probably cause too fast of a ground speed for the tiller to work right, even in 1st gear.

I think first gear on the SA is too fast for a rototiller running off the PTO. I saw a setup on a 140 a few years back with a rototiller that had it's own engine. That way, you could idle along in 1st gear and do a pretty good job. I never saw it work, but the fellow that had it for sale said it worked good.

I run a 4ft on my SA. You can"t run engine wide open because you ground speed gets to fast. The pto angle gets kinda harsh when you get down low because shaft is so high on tractor. I just adjust my top link long as possible to cut down on the angle of the joints. It is not the best set-up but it does a good job in my garden.I do better with it than either of my two harrows I have.

What size tires do you have? I have a friend that says his works well also and I know he has smaller size tires. Mine are 12.4-24.
Thanks for the replies.
