Seems to be a start on gas diesel. Seller claims it to be a "Farmall diesel engine". I am not an expert on IH start on gas diesels by any means. Is this engine similar to that in an MD or a WD9? The distributor looks odd to me.
Any comments?
Minimum bid is EUR 1000, which is roughly US$ 1250. Would it be worth buying? (Listed on June 13, but no bids yet.)
Thanks, Hendrik

Hendrik - The engine looks like a UD9 power unit - same as used in WD9 and TD9 tractors.

The distributor does indeed look odd for this engine. Perhaps an aftermarket replacement for an original magneto?

If the engine starts/runs, $1,250 seems be a fair price even if the alternator does not work. Worst case is you can sell the alternator for scrap and get a portion of your $1,250 back.

i agree it looks like a larger engine but i would have to say its a wd9 size as i think a 14 would have been 6 cylinder and as best i can tell by pics its only a 4 cylinder
