Stage II hydraulics on SH

Now that I have this Sh going I notice that the top lever which is the most forward on the hydraulic housing must be forward for the lower lever to operate the remotes. They are capped and pull engine when you move forward or back. Can the forward be used for a remote such as cylinder in sickle bar mower?
This is new to me on this StageII .

Lower lever and valve is intended to operate a double acting hydraulic cylinder. Other openings from the reservoir unit operate single acting hydraulic cylinders. If everything is plumbed like IH did each lever has to be locked in or blocking the flow of oil from passing through it for the other lever or unit to see pressure. Use one and block the other.
