SA Brake Job

I am getting ready to redo the brakes on my SA. Does anyone have any tips that will help. This looks like a tough job. Pictures would help as well.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Have mine apart right now. Not that hard. Jack it up and support it. Remove the wheel. Dis-connect the clevis where the brake band meets the brake pedal shaft. Support the final drive with a crane or a floor jack and remove the bolts between the final drive and the transmission. On the left side the bolts are right into the transmission. On the right, they hold the final drive to the extended housing. Move the final drive as an assembly straight out until the differential shaft clears. Brake band is right there. You will see when you get it apart. Good time to check seals.

I just did both sides of my '51 Super A. It's not that bad. IMHO, a cherry picker is a must and makes the job much easier. I changed seals while I was in there. The seals are a bear to get out! If you have any questions, I'd be glad to help answer them.
