Here is the 1936 F-30 that I have been working on for the past several years. I am happy with the way it runs, but I will try to get some hours on it and work the bugs out before I consider painting it. I would like to thank everyone who has helped me with this project. Hope you enjoy. BT

leave it just the way it is. i have found with mine i much prefer the original ones with no paint since i can actually go out and play with them
 
looks like a nice original to me, once painted you dont get that back. plus worth more this way also.
 
She's a 36 so therefore its already been repainted at least once because its RED and original would have be grey.
 
I wouldn't get in any big hurry about painting it. Look at the old car hobby. Unrestored and preserved original antique and classic cars are the fad now. good drive-able units with primered fenders and an old beach towel for a seat cover.
 
kinda looks like it was repainted long ago with the red used during the Letter series production, that looks like the color our SMTA faded to. But regardless it has a lot of character as is. Its your tractor, just use it and have some fun and do what you feel like paint wise. You might enjoy it just as it is.
 
Could I respectfully disagree a little bit? I agree, the farm clothes are the best, except for the sheet metal. Once iron / steel corrosion starts it doesn"t stop, the metal continues to attract and collect moisture and the corrosion proceeds right on down, unless you stop it. Doesn;t mean much for heavy cast iron housings or channels, but the sheet metal will rot away. I always think it is best to at least remove the rust and prime the sheet metal with a primer. Use different brands of primer if you want to keep an old look, but at least stop the corrosion on the thin stuff.
And keep the old beauty indoors.
