I may be buying a Stage II Super"H", I have a 1944 "H" that I have been around all my lie Dad but Super H gears in it so he could rotary hoe with it. I love "H"s I guess I am trying to strike up a converation about them, my wife isn"t up on them.

These kinds of threads work better if you have a specific question to spark the discussion/debate.

I recently participated in my first-ever tractor show with my 1953 Stage II Super H just a couple weeks ago. No sooner than I got it off the trailer, a gentleman came over and gave it a good looking-over "1954 Super H, eh? I've always wanted one of those!"

Nope, a real late '53. He looked like he didn't believe me at first until I rattled off the cutoff serial number for Stage I's.

When the folks that bought our farm defaulted on the land contract (several times) Mom nd Dad got the farm back and Dad bought an H with SH sleeves and pistons. Dad already had a C, but wanted a little more horse. He was disappointed in it and after a year or so traded for a 460. Hs were probably [u:cc2e899c4c]the most popular[/u:cc2e899c4c] tractor in our area of NE Iowa in the '40s and very early '50s.
