Here is some pictures of my 15-30.Its not very pretty, but Im going to try to paint it up later this winter.
I had to find the front wheels for it, the previous owner had rubber on it that was completely shot. The rear lugs has been purchased just waiting on them.
The tractor runs good,it hasent been started for some time,I tried starting it last night but couldnt get it to start.Im going to try to get to the fair next week,I hope they dont make me put it in the back row behind all of the trailer gueens

The old originals are always lots more interesting than the 'queens'.Your tractor should be up in the front row, just like the (rusty) 'Big 4' Emerson-Brantingham was at our show this spring.

I do have the hood and curtains, and I need to install the gas tank,The tank that you see in the picture is the water tank that injects water to the carb

that is the gas tank not water tank... this tractor had three tanks.that small round one is the gas starting tank. the medium one was for gas and the big one for distillate. it is started with gas from this small tank and once up to operating temp the fuel is switched to the big tank.the medium tank was so you could run on gas.there is no water injection to the carb. the old john deere d's had water injection.

Rustred, sorry to say you are partly wrong. The little round tank is for gasoline starting. The next tank toward the front is the kerosine or distillate tank for running. The third tank next to the engine is for water. There is a water carburetor or injector in front of the fuel carburetor to stop spark knock on heavy loads in high temperature conditions. Yes, I have a 22-36 and thats the way its set up. Joe

there is no water injection on this 15-30. i know what u mean and have a 22-36 actually i have never seen a 15-30 with 3 tanks. i know the 22-36 had 3 tanks. and a special carb with about 3 bowls on it. how long is that tank to last with water in it? it sure must get rusty and plug the lines in a hurry. also why does the fuel lines from all 3 go into one?

Quite possible that the old girl was used well into the 50s or beyond and switched to burning gasoline so why not use all the tanks. Not many people were thinking about originality back then, just how to keep productive.
