frozen engine on farmall 300

put it in a warm building to thaw out, just joking. your not giving much info. was exhaust covered or left open to rain, if so it is a major teardown and go from there. you can remove plugs and look in with a flashlite if you see rust, its still a tear down. only time soaking the cyl's with lube works is when exhuast is coverd and it gets stuck from condensation sticking the rings to the walls.i have experienced this not even working either.

harold,
This method will work every time , best done with engine out of the tractor on an Engine stand, but inframe is OK too.
usually in 1 afternoon.......
1, Remove all sheet tin, Gas tank, wiring Harness, Valve cover, Head, and Oil pan, Also all rod caps too.
2. check area around tractor and move away any flammable items and liquids.
3. roll tractor outside in the open,
4. Fill the cylinder with the most "volume" with Dsl add just a splash of Gas, set it on fire.
5. Drink a cup of coffee, Coke or Adult beverage while and until the fire burns itself out!
6. When the fire is out take a hammer and oak block and drive the piston out from the bottom going to the top.
7.repeat on the cylinder with the 2nd most volume and so on till all the pistons have come loose. """The fire, expands the cylinder and allows the rust to break loose.""" As the volume decreases you may have to do 2-3-4 or more burnings to generate enough heat to pop the rust. Just pay attentions to your surroundings and be very careful.
8. Repeat steps 4-5-6 on each cylinder and you will have an engine freed ed up and loose again. You might be able to salvage the cylinder or pistons if they aren't too rusted up.
Hope this helps!

Dump some ATF and marvel in the plug holes then let it sit. Park it on a hill in high gear to get constant pressure. Make sure there is a wheel chock a foot or two in front of the back tires so it doesn"t take off when it breaks free. If that doesn"t do it after sitting for a while pull it on a loose surface I.e. gravel and drop the clutch and couple times.
