Part Number 38523D Fuel Valve???

Can someone tell me what part number 38523D is and what it fits? It is a NOS brass valve, sizewise that fits in the palm of your hand with two shutoffs, one petcock and three inlets/outlets. My best guess is a changeover valve from the gasoline starting tank to run on kerosene possibly for the F-series or early W-series, but I would like to know for sure. Thanks.

They didnt use anything like that sediment assy had two inlets and one outlet. You have some kind of an aftermarket thingy sure not I-H

I'll have to respectfully disagree with you, Gene. The part came from a closed IH dealership in Nebraska and still has the handwritten part number on the tag. I didn't find anything there newer than the H and M era. I'm thinking it almost has to be a genuine IH part.

It mite be an I-H part but the three port sediment bowls are the only ones i have ever seen on the dual fuel engines it may be for the Diesel gas start models.

Maybe from an F12, 20, or 30. I have an F12 with 2 tanks. The valve under the main tank has a drain & shut-off plus a line from the little tank, another to the fuel pump plus it screws into the tank. Any pictures of yours?

Sounds kinda like mine; it's down at the shop so I can't examine it right now. I'll try to put a picture on tomorrow. Will appreciate it if you would check back then and see if it looks any thing like the one on your 12. Thanks.
