Bought the mesh on eBay, then just took it to machine shop to have it sheared correctly to fit... there is a seam but you can't see it.

I'm a little confused here. Why would you chrome stainless. Either a plain stainless, or chromed steel?
 

I don't know, except they told me it's main use is in truck grills. So maybe to protect it from road salt? It looks great & super strong, maybe steel is too soft?
 
Chromed stainless chromes better than plain steel, and doesn't rust or discolor when it ages. to chrome plain steel, it needs to be copper plated, then nickle plated, then chrome plated. because chrome does not stick to iron very well. Check the cheap chrome bumpers that rust to bits compared to a snap-on wrench. Jim
 
It's really looking good! Can't wait to see it finished! Maybe if you would put that cheap beer away till it's done it would go faster!

Don't worry your not the only one impatient! Balance of the chrome parts will be here tomorrow! Cant wait, air cleaner, fuel & radiator caps, light switch, and few other little items.

we have yet to take it outside even... lol
