Colby 560 has HOODS!!!!

VERY good progress tonight... great help from my friends.

2pt is complete, all clips, pins etc.
Springs are on pedals
Wiring is done, other than installing rear lights
Front hoods on and look sharp

Tomorrow night guy who did the hoods is coming over to "shine" them up, cant wait, air brush "stuff", install emblems, etc. We are also putting on the fenders.

I like the K&M step tool box. It is "period correct" for the tractor. In fact, K&M got thier "start" making such a tool box by the thousands and then expanded into seats and more....
 
I was going to mention the toolboxes, but someone beat me to that. My Grandpa had a 560 with those same toolboxes, I was wondering if those were IH or not.
 
I heard that "only going to church on Sunday" tractors needed just enough bolts to hold the wheels on. Better take one out on each side. LOL!

Wheels bolts & a bunch of other stuff will be back from chrome shop Thursday
 
Wow!! She is very pretty!! Make sure to chrome out the exhaust. Not just a straight pipebut ,if you put on a stock one get it chromed or a stainless steel one . They are very sharp looking.. That is the next tractor I want to get is a 560 diesal. Thats waht Graandpa was useing when he retired and I alwasy wanted one.GOOD JOB!!!!!!
 
Come over and "shine" them up he says. Anymore shiny and your reflection is going to slip off. Tractor looks outstanding!
 
exhaust is going to stay ceramic coated for now... good for 1300 degrees

axles are getting painted red tonight along with other little "stuff"

check out these hoods AFTER they got a little work tonight, unreal. keep in mind this is INSIDE the shed!!
