swapping a PTO assembly between Super Cs

I am going to take the complete PTO assembly and belt pulley
off my fast hitch equipped Super C (and put a cover plate on)
and put it on another Super C that I'm saving which has nothing
at all where the PTO should be.

Belt pulley assembly is off, going to remove the remaining bolts..
will the whole assembly with the shaft and sleeve just pull out?
as one piece?
if so, any tricks to getting things aligned and re-inserted into the other SC?
any gotchas to watch out for?
haven't done this on a Farmall and don't want a hidden bolt/clip/whatever to
give me a headache
Thanks

I always put a piece of pipe about three feet long on the shaft of any PTO assembly that I am installing. This gives you some leverage to hold the front end up and move it around. The problem with doing this on a C/Super C is that shaft is at the bottom, and the whole thing tries to turn upside down when you hold it that way. An extra pair of hands at that point makes it pretty easy.

The only unexpected problem I have ever had is that you can catch the shift lever on your sleeve or something, and pull it past the detent, leaving the shift sleeve disconnected from the pin. If this happens, you cannot put it back together after the unit is installed and bolted in.

Thanks Harold
did the swap yesterday, kept an eye and finger on the
shift mechanism. no problems
easy job, even did it in semi darkness
storm took out the power, opened both big doors and had enough
light to keep working
did miss my fans though!
