This one is the same city I live in, if I had the room, I'd get it. It has the tall oil filter, so I imagine it's early to mid 40's. When did the short ones come out? I sure wish I had a shop again.

Non-running and sloppy paint job. I don't see a battery or ignition wires and he doesn't show the carb. Price might not be out of line depending on what parts are missing.

I bought a stuck parts tractor once for $400. I also bought a good running H for $700 at an auction w/good tires.

Don't know for sure when the short filter first came out, but Dad bought a new 44 that had the short one.

He washed it and painted it, likely with a brush. Hard telling what it used to look like. It probably looked like the H I sold at auction in Feb for $400, and it ran. Slightly over scrap value like mine is more logical.

Pretty high for what it is. I bought a 49 H with rebuilt carb, rebuilt mag and like new tires for 800. The fella even gave me the invoices for items he stated were rebuilt. He had 400 bucks put in it.

Wow, sounds pretty high to me for a non running tractor with marginal tires on it.
