| | Single front wheel was common in Mississippi Delta, but, I have never seen a cab on a 656. Very few cabs sold on tractors there in the 60's and 70's. Harold H |

| Single fronts are quite common in irrigated areas where beets and other crops were planted on (6) 22" rows.Front -single,rears were set at 88".Once in a wghile,a wide would be used-also set to 88".Most crops today are planted to 30". |

| yes...north central Wyoming. 88 inch setting on back wheels width, correct ! With Roundup ready sugar beet seed now, no cultivation, just spraying. There are a few tractors still with single fronts, I happen to have a Super C, and 2 350's with them too, one a LP gas 350 Dad bought new in '59, runs super still !! All retired now. mjd |

| I am at Worland. Riverton is 90 miles from us, but very similar farming too. Mostly irrigated all around, we are very arid. This year even more hotter than normal. Barley harvest pretty well done by Aug. 1, about 10 days early. Hay here hitting over 175 dollars a ton, a lot going out of area !! I see they are saving a lot of straw this year too. Sheep and cattle also here. |
