660 Muffler

In an effort to try and complete last winters project, I am looking for a picture or actual measurments of the original muffler on a 1959 model 660 diesel. The muffler in the pic is 403551 R91 and that is the number the caseIH parts computer subs all old numers to, but I believe it is not the correct (original) way it is just a simple way out to make only 1 muffler now instead of many different ones. The part number the parts book calls for is 376352 R91 which is different than what is calls for on a 560 but the same on both gas and diesel 660's. I did find that stanley has one but I dont think it looks right and that is why I am looking for pis or measurments, any help is appreciated.

I don't think what you want exists anymore. If you buy aftermarket, quality will be less than CaseIH. Ken Updike of Carter and Gruenewald is currently trying to get a contractor to make OEM mufflers for the letter series, should be out this fall, I don't think the 60 series ones are included at this time. If Ken reads this he will respond and will be able to answer your original question also.

I think an OVAL muffler would look really cool on that.

BTW Ken, are the rain caps the "correct" IH style with the 4-sided counterweight, or the Massey Ferguson style with the round counterweight?
