Ok guy and good ideas of a show to debut the Colby560??

Don't forget I have new baby coming (and CANT hardly wait!!) around the 1st week of Sept so it will have to be late Sept and beyond.

I'll be at RPRU next year... just didn't know if there are any other great shows coming up this fall.

thoughts??

Indiana State Fair. It starts this Friday. They have a very large antique tractor section on the northside of the fairgrounds.

Colby not sure what town your from but we are having our 8th Annual Tractors For Charity in Mchenry IL, 3709 W Miller Road, 815/847/0625 The web site is stadedairyfarm.com, it is a Antique Tractor, Truck & Construction Equipment Show September 22 & 23, 2012, no entry fee for exibiters donations only and all proceeds go to the local Food Pantry, any other questions you can call me at 815/353/9009.

that sounds interesting :)

like to join Max in NE for World Record, but don't think that will work :) new little baby coming!

I've been thinking of attending the Mt. Pleasant old threshers reunion this year, but I expect that show would be a little tight for the expected new arrival.

As in a coming out? Sweet Sixteen? LOL
I have a SMTA done to that level and the first and only time it's been "on parade" was the Mt Vernon HS homecoming parade. (Grad class of 14, town pop of 480, main street is 6 blocks).
You are going to be in for a big surprise if you start hauling that 560 around. People at shows are rude, crude, tatooed, and half stewed. You will get real tired of stupid questions and critics.
About one guy in ten that knows how to build a restoration will give you a wink and a nod, perhaps a "well done".
So you better be happy you did it for your Dad . The rest don't really give a ....care.
A tip on the sheet metal screws. I bought undersize phenolic or fibre washers, then drilled them out to size. That way you don't screw up the paint on the tin, chips, corrosion etc., but the washers are barely visible. From the 100k muscle car crowd. Your'e Welcome :)

I'd love to see it at the AE-TA (Antique Engine and Tractor Association) Working Farm Show on Sept 14-16 just north of Geneseo, IL (about 20 miles E of Moline). They put on a great show with plenty of tractors, steam engines, hit and miss, lawn mowers. They also do an excellent job with demonstrations of threshing, plowing (with horses too), corn picking, corn selling, saw mill, check row planting and a blacksmith.

More info can be found at www.ae-ta.com

Well done Colby, here in the UK our tractor club is having a show on the last weekend of August. You are very welcome to pop it over for us and we would make you very welcome. We have 3 560 Wheatlands in the club but no Farmall 560s. MJ

The 14th of September you could drive it across the Mackinac Bridge. There is also a setting show (optional) for the weekend at the casino in St. Ignace MI after the drive. Had over 800 tractors last year.

August 4 & 5, 2012Western Canada Chapter 38 summer show at the Western Development Museum in Yorkton, Saskatchewan featuring L, R and S trucks and letter series tractors. Contact Darald Marin at [email protected]
