Great night getting things up and running, all lights work. LED setup for dash is AMAZING, so are the head lights.

It's really getting finished.

oh how dad would be proud!

(quoted from post at 20:36:26 07/31/12) This whole journey kind of brings a tear to my eye. Hate to see it end.

thanks Mark.... by the looks of things late next week I believe the project will be done, or should be real close. Another McMaster & Carr order yet tonight for few little detail items :)

I agree with you, but it's good thing too. Gosh what a process.

so proud of this, making video now for youtube with some photos & video clips....

I look back on your first post now & and it's hard to beleive it's the same tractor, you certainly have a lot to be proud of. I appreciate your taking the time to document this process with so many photos and allowing us to share it with you. I am afraid many will never know how much actual work & time went into getting to this moment, how many of your friends have helped you get here, and even how I am sure you have also made a few new ones along the way.
I appreciate your patience with all of us throwing our two cents in, and hope many here were helpful. I look forward to sitting down here each evening checking out your progress, all I can say it's AWESOME !!
I will have to admit, I never really cared for the sixty series much, until seeing this one.
Thanks to you & all your buddies !!

Thx....

I am going to plan to do something when it's over, photo book, video or something. Just to help the next person.... there are SO SO many things that could help when people are starting on a tractor project.

Just ordered few things from McMaster & Carr, great place for special stuff :)

Should be done within next two weeks. :) Cant wait to take it for a ride.

thx

dont worry guys.... when it's DONE there WILL be proper party with correct types of adult beverage :)

here's video I made, I'll make a good one when it's over. this was just a quick one last night.

When you started this project, I wasn't aware of where you lived. I have come to realize you must be somewhere in Ill., but I [u:a5a1e42752]had[/u:a5a1e42752] hoped the "colby" was for Colby, Kansas so I could stop by on my way through some time and see this project... no such luck. I'll probably never get to see it in person, so thanks for the great pics and video and keep them coming.

So apparently you found what you needed to make the choke work?

not yet, still have to get that worked out, but it ran perfect!

nice work.

Cool!! I was a bit concerned about the carburetor since it sat for so long but apparently my fears were unfounded.

you know you did good when it fires up on the first shot like that.

I'm one of those types that perfers them a litle 'lived in' looking - but I've been watching and gaining appreciation with what you're doing - really does look great.

You earned that beer.

yes I hear you.... this started out as simple restoration, nothing crazy. Remove sheet metal, etc. Then for whatever reason he went toward the moon, honestly as much work as we have spent on it we did not realize until lately just how nice it really is.

Over past few days a few people have seen it inside only, only day it was out was return trip from paint shop. In the shop only, it looks over the top. Can you even imagine what it will look like outside. lol

I guess from my point of view, this project was/is in honor of my dad and will be for the rest of my life. Really looking forward to seeing it completely finished. Should be all done tail end of next week.

Going to spend some time after putting together video, pictures etc of this project. Already have some magazines contacting me about doing an article :) that's cool. Don't worry I WILL be talking about the forum here on YT, you guys have all helped!

Considering printing out the posts and putting them in the book too.

See anything we missed??

few other little surprises coming... I'll keep you all posted.

Thanks

The carburetor was rebuilt I'm sure.....right? SHouldn't be any concern if it was rebuilt.
