Massey Harris model 60 combine

I tried posting this on the Combine and the MH / MF boards, but those places are ghost towns...

I have a Massey Harris 60 PT combine that came with a grain pick up. I have used the combine for 15 years but never mounted the pick up. I don't know what make the pick up is but it looks to have been red and green at one time.

I'm looking for any advice on how to mount it. Any specific information would be great, but even general thoughts on mounting it would be helpful.

Specifically: 1) What does a pick usually up bolt to ? 2) Do the sickle, guards, and reel usually come off when the pick up gets mounted ? 3) how do I figure out what length belt it needs ?

Hi Greg: The Combine forum gets much more active closer to Fall season. Maybe the dry conditions threw the action off this year but there are posts on your smaller & older machines most years.. good luck..

I am unfamiliar with your machine, but am sure the sickle, guards, reel, etc. ALL come off prior to mounting the pickup head. Good luck!
