TA Back Plate

I just surfaced the inside of my back plate and am wondering if I need to take the same amount of material off the the outside posts that the pressure plate bolts to. My instinct says yes, but I wanted to double check.

Yes you do. You need to maintain the same dimension as original for the pressure plate to operate correctly,

I don't think I ever had one resurfaced as the splines are usually what wears out on them.

Thanks guys. This is a project 560 I bought and the dry clutch section of the Ta was rusted up. The clutch and pressure plate are junk but I did get it all apart. I resurfaced the back plate so I can put in a new clutch and pressure plate so after I overhaul the engine I will know wether or not I have to do another TA. I know I should just do it now since it is all torn down, but I am still looking for that darn old money tree.
