I just pick up an ih freezer which is a 158 . I am the second owner of it for 40 . But when we where loading it I saw a 240 utility sitting there. It runs and has a bush hog. The owner says it is an orchird. I can find no record of an orchird. The serial is 2009. I do see yellow paint on the front rims. He wants to sell it but know idea of pricing. It does run. Needs a seat and the clutch worked on. It is located in MI just over the Ohio line.

Thanks for any help. Todd

Some may call the ones with the under-exhaust an orchard, but that was not it's only use, they are still just a 240 Utility. Some came painted yellow and some red. Mine has the exhaust through the hood, and the loader shows signs of having yellow paint at one time, but I see no evidence of it on the tractor.

So if you was going to buy it ball park. 2000. I
am not buying it but want them to get a fair
price. The freezer i bought they only wanted
20. I gave the 100 to be fair

$2000 is high for one, unless the engine has recently been overhauled, and I doubt that is the case or he probably would have done the clutch when he did the engine. I paid more than that, but mine had an IH Wagner 120 loader on it and a Char-Lynn power steering. It did need work on the steering, but bought the parts from a salvage for about $100 as I recall. I see it's been changed to 12v and that's a plus if he also changed the field coils in the starter, or it may cause problems.
