Super C Transmission Leak

Hi, guys. Dumped my Hy-Tran fluid and cleaned some 40+ years of dirt off the underside, now a leak is showing off the clutch release spline. There seems to be a nut in the recess on the frame, but I can"t reach it with any standard wrench or socket.
1. Do I have to split the tractor to get to the seal or the spline?
2. If there is a seal leaking, anyone know a good place to get a transmission seal package?

did you refill with Hytran?

my C uses 90 weight transmission oil.

i use 85-140 in all my tractors

Yes, I refilled with Case Hy-Tran, perhaps that's why it's leaking. Wayne, thanks for the link to the Case parts catalog. I put some Gear Stop-Leak in the transmission, will run it and see if that helps.

There is no transmission seal package, they are sold individually, cheaper if you cross the IH number to SKF or National and get the seals at a dealer that specializes in them.
