got a 560 diesel and we can hook a 6 ft heavy 3pt bush hog to it and the lift will pick it right up. we got a 7 ft disc mower and hook it to it and it will pick the 2pt hitch up some but wont pick the disc mower arm up. we changed pumps in it and it still wouldnt pick it up. it has a cylinder on the mower arm and it will mover it alittle but wont pick it up. the tractor didnt have a 2pt hitch on it when we bought it cause someone took it off. could there be a valve or something that the pressure is bypassing. any help would be appreciated

i have had this disc mower behind a 620 jd i had and it picked it up fine and i have a 2150 small jd tractor and it picks it up fine and no the front dont come off the ground on the 560. it has worked fine for the last 6 or 7 years with that cylinder on the mower and we rebuilt it 2 or 3 years ago. it will work behind other tractors just not the 560.we bought a 706 before the 560 and the guy had a 560 and used a 9 ft mower on it. i read or heard somewhere that if you take the 2pt hitch off the tractor you have to do something or when you put it back on it wont work right.

I hung a nine foot disc mower on my IH 460 utility's two point and it would not pick up the arm. I put a larger diameter cylinder on it and had no more trouble. Used it for two years that way until I bought a bigger tractor.

My brother has a 9 ft disc mower on the 3 pt of a 856.It's a load for the 856.

I wouldn't want to try it on my 560.

Rotary mower might weight 700 to a 1000 pounds.
Check the shipping weight on your disc mower. I bet it is well over a ton.

Does the front of the 560 start raise off the ground at all?
