Farmall Super Md Doesn't Run Smooth

Hi everyone I have a smd farmall that I had to replace head on it I got a rebuilt one complete with valves it doesn't run smooth but if you work it and put a load on it it runs great and smooth do I have injector problems? what else can I look at

Yes, you could have injector problems,your injection pump may also need to be advanced a couple degrees.I had to advance the pump on my 400 a couple degrees to make it run smooth after I found the injectors were O.K..

How does your exhaust look unloaded? I would start with the timing first. From there, it might not hurt to have injectors pop tested. I would also check to see how much slop you have between the injection pump drive gear and the idler driving it when you have the cover off playing with the timing.
