Hydraulic expansion plug on Cub

Mowed about an hour with the Cub and when I parked it and went to lower the mower deck I heard a POP and hydraulic oil was flowing out the top of the hydraulics under the gas tank. The ITT manual says it is an expansion plug that poped out. What may have caused this and open for suggestions on how to fix the problem.
Thanks again for any help, you men are great about helping me out.

Usually caused by overfilling the hydraulic system. Oil level should be checked with the tractor off and the rockshaft fully to the rear. You fix it by removing the fuel tank/hood so you can get at it, cleaning out all the crap that is probably in it now, putting in a new expansion plug, and refilling per the book.
