Well after about a year (physcal prob.) I am able to get back to work on the gov. on my super C I have had the thing apart many times but I can not find the problem, I have tried everything that I have seen on here about what to do but nothing has worked. new thurst bearing, big spring is good ,fly weights free, springs on throttle rod good, set rod from carb to gov rod, cleaned gov.still not right,it will idle down and purr like a kitten, move the throttle up a fourth of the way and it will run wide open,a lot faster than it should,I shut it off before it gets too fast can anyone help me. this all happened from shut down to next start up...Thanks

Have yopu set the rod going to the carb as described in the I@T manual. Your problem is not the gov unless the spring hooks are faced the wrong way. Does the input shaft have a lot of slop. Also the carbs butterfly shaft mite have slipped at the input end and is it an original carb or a replacement that has the lever on the input end adjustable? How is the rest of the linkage. Are the two springs on the input link correct and free.
