Was out at my neice's house where the B is stripped down waiting to be reassembled. They have a big shop where we are doing the work. Not much room here in town.
Anyways, was looking the tractor over and realized it has a metal gear shift knob instead of a hard rubber type. Has some numbers on it but I forgot to take a pic or write the numbers down. Anything special about it? I assume it was installed due to rubber shortages during the war years. That correct? Is it supposed to be painted black or just painted the same color as the tractor. Maybe it should be chrome! Just kidding. Nice rust patena like the rest of the tractor.
