SA Head 251172 R2 and SC Head 251172R1

Busted block 354898 R1 had head 251172 R2. Block and head from Super A.

Purchased block 354898 R1 has head 251172 R1. Block and head came from Super C.

Question is if the R2 head from the Super A will properly work on the block from the Super C?

What are the differences in the R1 and R2 heads?

There should be no problem. The way the IH part numbers work the R1, R2 ect is just a newer part. So the R2 is the newer version of the R1.
