Farmall 706 no brakes

Thanks to the two posters on this subject. Wondering if anyone might have any more info on the brakes on my 706. When its not running, I have none. They don"t pump up or anything.

Well more then likely it is one of the check valves either leaking back or is missing and allowing the fluid to backflow . And since i can not check it for myself you are going to have to get a book and study up on it . IF you were close to me it would not take long for me to check it out.

Can you do the peddle test as I had said in your first post?

Hi again. From AceS comment, yes I have tried but with no result. Without the engine running, there is no pressure building up on either peddle whatsoever. I wondered about check valves so I guess a manual is in order. Any suggestions of where to get the best manuals at a reasonable price?

Have you bled the brakes to make sure there is no air in the system? If you have any air between the brake control valves and the brake pistons you will not have any manual brakes.

If you donnot understand the test fully I can rewirte it. You may have a bad check and will have to find the bad one and fix. The test I told you about must work or no manual brakes.
