hey guys...

Thinking of adding a step on the rear of the tractor, thought was to make a custom plate that takes the place of the risers on the fender extensions but has couple step to get on the tractor rather than just climbing up 2pt like we have for 40yrs, lol.

Might just add it for both sides, not sure.

what do you think?

I am going to put the side step on the tractor, it's been there forever... nice when your fueling it & has tool box also.

For the way you are going to use the tractor, either or both are ok. I would favor the one in front. However, in terms of originality -- no. The one in front and probably the one in back would hit the plants when cultivating, which was still a much used operation until at least the 80's around here. So it depends on whether you want it original or practical. Since I have no use for the correct police, I might even copy that on my Super M, maybe a smaller step. Depending on wheel spacing, etc, for me I would prefer to mount from the front.

true... I agree, we normally did but most of the time we did not have fenders on the tractor.

I'm set on adding side step, not worth risk of making a mistake during fueling either.

Going to leave off the grease gun holder, lol

Not 100% sure about making rear steps....

Very nice tribute to your Dad .It will be one of a
kind.Been a long time since we had a 560 as the
last IH we had till we got a Steiger was a 1206.I
remember mounting from back swinging leg over seat
and you were ready to go.Mounting from front
started with the 06 as the T/A was on side of
dash. With the lights and T/A location front
mounting would be a little awkward but it is your
decision and it will be right whatever anyone else
says.

Your 560 has a built-in elevator. Why would you need a step?

Just lower the fast hitch to the ground, step on, and hoist yourself up.

Thx guys.

Not 100% sure what I want to do, as you can see with fenders on it's DAMN tight between light & fender. You can laugh but fenders are ART WORK and I hate to think of rubbing against them, lol.

ummm.
