I bought a 706 from a person that said he had changed th motor out. He sais he used a motor out of a combine tiat had less hours on it. Another guy that works on 706 tractors said if that was true it would be a higher hp motor. How can i id what motor is in my 706? Also what hp it is? |

| It will be stamped up front on the right side of the block behind the injection pump or governor. Gas combine engines are: 263, 291, 301. Diesel engines would be 282 or 301. |

| Gas or diesel ? sounds like he put in a 301 gas or diesel out of a 715 combine or a 403 with a 282 gas or 301 deisels .You looking at between 80 90 hp depending on their rpm. |
