High Clearance models with cultivator power lift

Hi,

I am still trying to narrow down my search for an appropriate tractor for the farm. I am wondering what hi clearance models came with the power front cultivator lifts instead of manual. I am really looking for a single row tractor but still am open about 2 row.

Thanks,
Mark

For one row go with Super AV thru 140 High Clear which are all the same basic tractor. For two row, Farmall C thru 240 is same basic tractor with good crop clearence on tricycle model but has no high clear version. You can install 42 inch rear wheels and taller front wheels to make it high clear. The Farmall 340 was built in limited numbers in High Clear for Chisom Ryder and these tractors sometime become available but it would be hard to find a front cultivator that would work on the F 340 HC. I believe any other Farmall High Clear would be too big for what you want. Personally I would probably go with a Farmall C-240 tricycle and add 42" step up rear wheels.

You could use just one row on a B and have 26in clearence with the drawbar removed. The hand lift is spring loaded and is easy to lift. The lever is on the left side easy to reach. You can also get the lift assy for them that has a lever for each side so you can do just one row at a time. Both levers are on the left of the steering post and easy to lift.

Gene,

I agree the B or BN would be a good choice, however, he mentioned he wanted power lift. On the B or BN he can change to AV thru 140 HC 36" rear wheels to gain even more clearance.

Hi,

Thanks for all the help, you all have really helped me narrow this down to the right tractor for me. Is the only difference in the 100, 130 and 140 HC like the difference between the A and AV...the taller wheels on back and the extensions on front?

Hi Mike,

Thanks for those photos, great looking tractors. I have been restoring old pinballs and video's for about fifteen years, those tractors remind me of some of the mint restoration jobs with nos parts I put back together over the years.

Mark,

The Farmall Super A, 100, 130, and 140 are all basicly the same except for the sheet metal and some minor upgrades. The Farmall Super AV, 100 HC, 130 HC, and 140 High Clear are all the same except for small upgrades. The additional clearance on the V and High Clear models is by the use of taller wheels and tires.

I sure like my Super C.

It has enough clearance to cultivate till the roots get out into the row and you shouldn't be cultivating by then anyway.

The 1st SC I had set up as a 1 row tractor with the cultivators on one side and the planters on the other. I now have 2. 1 is set up with 2 row cultivators with fertilizer side dressers and the other one has fast hitch and I now have collected most of the FH implements including a C251 planter.
