H overdrive

Was an overdrive made for the H, if so what?

I use it to rake hay, would be nice to have a little more road speed now that the steering is tight.
 
Overdrive will not give more speed in 5th gear. The speeds in overdrive will be around 6 in1st od 8 in 2nd od 10 in 3rd od and 12 in 4th depending on tire size and engine rpms your gov is set. But 5th will be the same.
 
5th in the H is direct drive through the transmission with no gear reduction. Most folks seem to think that 5th is as fast as they would want to go, but if you are traveling a long distance someone described pulling an H with a pickup truck, here is the link.

Do not want to pull with pickup, just would like to get a few MPH out of it on the road. Friend had an 801 with sherman in it, that thing would move.
 
Back when I was in high school,a classmate put a M/W,Hiesler or something in an M.It would go into 5th(overdrive).That thing would really fly.Anyway,Dean would drive it all over in 5th od.the transmission destroyed itself due to overspeeding gears,lack of proper lubrication,etc,
 
That does not sound so good, I am looking to upsize tires from 12.4 to 13.6, that should give me a little.
