Hi,
I was wondering how the front cultivator mechanisms work on the Farmall tractors. From the photos I have looked at it looks like there is a bar that lets down both sides at once, which would ruin the plowing clearance on row crops as the vegetables would run under the belly and hit such a bar. I have looked at the John Deere 900hc and it has curved bars on either side that are independent so that when it lets down to plow next to the plants there is no bar under the tractor. Can someone shed some light into how all these cultivators drop down and or limit clearance?
