I currently use a 6ft brush hog, pull type on a 460; cuts and pulls with no problem . The brush hog frame is about to rust away. I ' m hoping to replace it with a larger one, anyone know what size brush hog can the 460, Gas model can handle. I do 30 acres that is fairly flat.

we had an 8' bush hog on our 560 for ever :) worked great... you could always go with batwing type mower also, few times we had it on our 560 too back in the day.

Depends upon what you're mowing & how close to the ground you want to mow. Use to mow a lot of "set-a-side" acres, mostly alfalfa & clover, back in the '60s with a 450 & 7' Bush Hog. I never really wanted anything bigger other than at times a bigger tractor. In grass the tractor handled it easily. The BH was purchased new in '64 and is still in working condition though it doesn't get used much. Tractor is long gone.

For just clipping pastures and not getting into tall, thick grass or weeds you can handle much more than running in tall thick stuff.

I pull a 15 foot batwing with my 560 all the time.

If I get into tall grass 1st gear isn"t slow enough sometimes. But most of the time I run in 2nd or 3rd gear in foot tall thick stuff.
